This new Internet sucks.

So we have been with Bertram Wireless for quite a while now, and our family was so fed up with it being terribly slow and not loading properly sometimes, and we decided to head into Verizon Wireless to check out their Mobile Broadband plans. After the salesman got us all set up and sent us on our way, the speeds weren't impressive at all. I was expecting 4G speeds of 12Mbps, but it barely matched up to what Bertram was giving us. I'm really wanting to get rid of this already and just stick with Bertram, since it really isn't that great. Of course, I'm gonna leave it until every else gets home and then see what they think, and if we all end up really hating it, Bertram is back in.

I have been checking every website that I normally go on to see how well it loads with the new connection, and it's noticeably slower than Bertram's speeds, and those speeds aren't even very fast compared to other ISPs. I'm especially waiting for Lindsay to get home to see what she has to say about it, and if she thinks it's any better. If it was all up to me, I'd just say get rid of all of it and return the damn thing, being as it won't be better soon. I almost wish we had never done this, since now we have a 2-year contract. Although, the salesman said we have 3 days to return it if we don't get good signal. So... yeah, we'll see what happens.

The aftermath... or... whatever you want to call it.

Alright, so... my whole "ban" of computers and general technology was slightly trimmed, and by slightly, I mean only a bit. I guess I won't have free access to my iPad, Netbook or iPhone throughout the entire summer, nor will I be able to just go on the desktop whenever I so choose to. It sucks, but that's life, and it really bites you in the ass sometimes. I can go on from time to time, but it's still very limited. So far I've been able to go on for about an hour each day, depending on how much work I've done and how much I've already been on technology. I feel like going to a movie tonight... but I didn't set anything up with friends to go see the new Spider-Man movie, and I don't really feel motivated to get going on anything. I'll probably try to go for a day next week to ask some friends to go to the movie with me. One of my older sisters already saw it, and they said it was really good, so I'm hoping that means I'll like it. When I come to think about it, there's really only been one movie that I've seen that I really didn't like that much. If you remember when Clash of the Titans came out, it apparently really sucked and the acting wasn't good at all. Well, they came out with pretty much the same movie about two months ago, but they just replaced the word "Clash" with "Wrath", so it was Wrath of the Titans. I saw the movie with a friend of mine and his girlfriend. I was hoping it would be some fucking epic movie with big-as-shit monsters, but it really wasn't that awesome at all.

I'll start a new paragraph since the current one was getting big (that's what she said). Anyway, when I watched it, the whole thing moved really fast and the plot wasn't very original. And it was actually like you're basic brother vs. brother vs. big scary monster deal. Two brothers hated each other because one thought the other was more powerful and therefore they weren't equal. So, while one brother is trying to make the other understand that they in fact are equal, the underworld is beginning to erupt and Kronos is going to wake up and try to take over the place where they are, or whatever his purpose is. In a nutshell (because I'm not going over every detail), Perseus saves his father from being killed in the underworld, and then the dad's evil brother (ha, see a trend here?) ends up siding with each other and they battle Kronos together and defeat him. The final battle really goes quickly too, and that's what I didn't like. Like I mentioned before, the whole movie was like that. It didn't transition very well.

So... yeah. That's my post for today. And it's rather larger than normal, but that's pretty neat. Until next time!
